Feb 13 - Dinner with a Slice of History - The IX Files - The Cleveland Bomber Plant 6:30 pm Join us as local historian Bill Meixner shares the history of the Cleveland Bomber Plant. Originally built in 1942, the IX center, as it is currently known, has gone through several changes, from bomber plant to tank plant to exhibit and entertainment facility. It comprises 2.2 million square feet and is in the top ten largest trade show facilities in the world. Originally owned by the Department of Defense, it was operated as the Fisher Body Aircraft plant No 2 and employed 15,000 workers during WWII.
