EAA chapter 1240 will be hosting a fly-in / drive-in pancake breakfast at the EAA 1240 Aviation Development Center Saturday March 14 from 8:00 to 11:00 AM. Drive around the Sebring race track and follow the signs through Gate 24.
This event held every second Saturday of the month features information on aviation programs, meeting and greeting aviation enthusiasts, great food and a pleasant place to spend a Saturday morning.
You don’t have to be a pilot to enjoy getting involved in many of the EAA Chapter 1240 activities, just have an interest in aviation and the people involved.
EAA Chapter 1240 has a special emphasis on youth and family aviation education. One of the special programs EAA offers is Young Eagles. This program offers FREE introductory flights for youth ages 8 to 17 years old. They receive a flight certificate, a logbook documenting their flight, registration in the world’s largest logbook at EAA HQ in Oshkosh Wisconsin, the ability to take their FAA private pilot ground school on-line for free, and an on-line membership in EAA until age 19.
Young Eagle flights will begin at 8:00 AM, this Saturday March 14th. A parent or guardian will need to register the youth.
