Open Cockpit Day at the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation MuseumEventDetailPage

The Museum holds its final 2016 Open Cockpit Day 11am to 3pm when visitors of all ages can sit in the pilot seats of Museum aircraft. This is a fun family event to celebrate the end of the vacation season as children prepare to return to school. When visitors arrive at the Museum and admission is paid they are given a boarding pass to a shuttle bus that transports them to the airplanes on the Museum’s outdoor flightline. The last bus to the airplanes, where folks can see a Canberra, Skyhawk, Phantom, Turbmomentor, Thunderchief, Huey and other aircraft departs at 2pm. In addition to getting into the airplanes, visitors can explore the indoor exhibits and meet members of the Ninety Nines, an organization of women pilots. If the day brings rain, this event is not held. For additional information 410-682-6122.
