    The aircraft changes pitch to teake off verticaly; however, it can take off into cruise mode or hover mode. There are two 13.6-foot cantilevered tandem wings equipped with four propellers on each end. The fly-by-wire controls manage all of the motors, as well as dual elevons on the outer edges of both wings. Elevons are control surfaces that combine the functions of the elevator (pitch) and the aileron (roll). The aircraft is designed to fly from a grass surface, which the Chirteas have a lot of at their hangar home community in Milton, Delaware.
