Air Safety expands programs

Air Safety International, a professional pilot training academy in Vero Beach, Florida, has gained British CAA approval for its training program, purchased two new flight simulators, and expanded its training program. The new CAA program makes Air Safety one of four U.S. flight training organizations that can offer a British pilot certificate or rating. The program will use CAA-certificated instructors and examiners.

The new simulators will support the Academy's high-end training. One is a full-motion Level A Boeing 727 simulator, which will be used to train students for their flight engineer certificates. The other is a Level 6 flight training device that replicates a multiengine Piper Seminole. The Academy will use it for ab initio and bridge/flight engineer training.

Air Safety also has signed a consulting agreement with American Airlines to help it get its Part 142 Training Center designation, and it signed a partnership agreement recently with Lockheed Martin to train military and civilian flight crews. For more information about the academy, call 800/348-5209.
