Boyer highlights runway incursion solutions at New England pilot expo

In the keynote address for last Saturday's Second Annual New England Aviation Expo at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, New Hampshire, AOPA President Phil Boyer told some 275 pilots that "education is the fastest and most effective way to reduce runway incursions."

He displayed highlights from the new online AOPA and AOPA Air Safety Foundation Runway Safety program and pointed out that graduation certificates from the course are accepted by the FAA as evidence of the ground operations knowledge required on biennial flight reviews, as well for the ground instruction requirement of the "Wings" program.

The Runway Safety program is available free on AOPA Online.

Daniel Webster College is a private four-year institution in Nashua, New Hampshire, which has offered both associate and bachelor degrees in aviation fields since 1965. It is nationally recognized for its aviation programs and has recently introduced computer science and management departments.
