AOPA has learned that a decision on flight training activities will be made today. The flight training issue is currently under review at the top levels of the government. The FAA asked AOPA and the AOPA Air Safety Foundation for recommendations on how to resume flight training. AOPA and ASF staff prepared volumes of research and facts for the FAA to present to the National Security Council to demonstrate the safety of flight training and the economic impact the current VFR flight training ban is having.
