AOPA President Boyer testifies before Congress

AOPA President Phil Boyer testified before the House aviation subcommittee today about the impact current flight restrictions are having on general aviation pilots and businesses. He talked about the need to provide relief for the 41,000 aircraft trapped inside the enhanced Class B airspace and the Washington, D.C., and New York TFR exclusionary zones. He also talked about the impact on small aviation businesses such as aerial photographers, banner towers, traffic reporters, and news aircraft and told Congress about the need for a financial relief package to help those businesses harmed by the shut-down of general aviation operations.
