What good is a Web site that has all the answers if you can't find them? AOPA Online has a new look designed to make it easier for you to find the information you need. Fly-out menus and a search box at the top-left of every page make starting your search easy. The "advanced search" link allows you to search the entire site or limit your search to such specific sections as public, members, AOPA Pilot or AOPA Flight Training magazines, or classified ads. Every search is conducted using a "smart" search engine that filters every search query through an electronic thesaurus maintained by our aviation specialists. A search such as "pilot license" returns not only documents containing the phrase, but also information containing "airman certificate" and related phrases. Automatically renew
More than 105,000 AOPA members have discovered the simplest way to renew their membership and continue to support general aviation — the AOPA Automatic Renewal Program. Simply sign up using a credit card for automatic membership renewal and regardless of which type of credit card you use, you will earn a savings of $2 on your membership dues the first year. Enroll with the AOPA credit card and save $2 every year you participate in the program with that card. But the program is about more than savings for the individual member; participation allows the cost savings gained from the decrease in multiple renewal reminders to be invested in your association's ongoing efforts to promote and protect general aviation.

AOPA offers discount on aircraft insurance
When the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association was formed in 1939, a key part of its mandate was to keep general aviation affordable. Now under a new arrangement with AIG Aviation, one of the world's most secure aviation insurers (A++ rated by A.M. Best), AOPA members who qualify can receive a 5-percent discount on the cost of their aircraft insurance.
"On a policy premium of $1,600, the 5-percent discount would amount to $80," said Greg Sterling, executive vice president and general manager of the AOPA Insurance Agency. "That alone is worth twice what your AOPA annual membership dues cost."
While not all aircraft may qualify, the great majority will, added Sterling. "No single insurance company can insure every type of aircraft or pilot, but AIG's new membership discount will allow the majority of AOPA members to save on insurance costs every year."

The discount, offered to AOPA members for the first time in the association's 64-year history, is available for policies issued after January 1, 2003.
