AOPA's Boyer hosts 300th Pilot Town Meeting

Three hundred pilots turned out on Thursday evening for the 300th Pilot Town Meeting of AOPA President Phil Boyer's tenure. The meeting, held at Texas Station in Las Vegas, brings to 1,000 the number of pilots Boyer met with during the month of May alone.

"These face-to-face meetings are absolutely vital if AOPA is going to continue to serve the needs of our members," said Boyer. "While it's important for the association to be near Washington so we can work with and keep tabs on the government, it's even more crucial for us to get 'outside the beltway' and know what's really on the minds of pilots."

Thursday night's meeting was the twelfth of the year. So far this year, Boyer has met with nearly 4,000 pilots. To see if and when he's coming to your area, visit the Pilot Town Meeting page on AOPA Online.
