AOPA Pilot, the world's largest aviation magazine, and its sister publication, AOPA Flight Training, have each been honored with awards for excellence.
AOPA Flight Training, which is geared to student and new private pilots as well as flight instructors, recently received a silver Ozzie Award for best use of typography in a magazine feature at the Folio: Show in New York City. The awards, sponsored by Folio: magazine, recognize excellence in magazine design. AOPA Flight Training was chosen from among more than 2,000 entries.
The Maryland Society of Association Executives presented a Circle of Excellence Award to AOPA Pilot for its general excellence and service to AOPA's members. The Circle of Excellence Awards recognize top quality work by Maryland-based association.
While AOPA's use of the Internet to communicate with members has grown tremendously over the past two years, AOPA Pilot remains one of the primary tools for reaching members and is often cited by members as one of the premier benefits of AOPA membership.
