Day two at AOPA Expo is under way, with AOPA President Phil Boyer and representatives from 10 avionics manufacturers addressing all the changes that are coming to GA cockpits at this morning's general session.
More than 6,000 visitors attended the first day. One, Michael Harbater, flew into Expo from Republic Airport in Farmingdale, New York. He flies a lot using his datalinked weather software from Control Vision. "I won't fly on a bad weather day without it," he said. At the show, he has met with the folks at Control Vision—one of over 320 exhibitors at the Philadelphia Convention Center this weekend—to talk about recent concerns he has with products and how he can get updated software. That's the kind of hands-on attention that a member can receive from manufacturers when the two meet at AOPA Expo.
