AOPA membership options

For some time you've enjoyed reading your copy of AOPA Flight Training magazine each month as you've progressed through your private pilot training. But you just passed the checkride and are proudly clutching your temporary pilot certificate.

What now? Do you continue to receive AOPA Flight Training, or do you think it's time to transition to AOPA Pilot, just like you're transitioning from the Piper Warrior to a nearly new Archer III with dual color moving-map GPS navigators?

It's up to you. If you're still receiving the six-month subscription that was part of your free Introductory AOPA Membership, you can only receive AOPA Flight Training and AOPA ePilot Flight Training Edition-our weekly e-mail newsletter accompaniment-as well as access to the members-only section of AOPA Online, of course, and numerous other benefits.

But if you have a paid AOPA membership, you can switch magazines any time you want. Just call Member Services at 800/USA-AOPA weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time, and one of the helpful specialists can make the change for you. Does that mean you have to say goodbye to AOPA Flight Training? Not at all. You can opt to receive both magazines for an additional $18 per year.

As a paid member, you also have your choice of weekly e-mail newsletters-AOPA ePilot Flight Training Edition or the regular AOPA ePilot. Make the selection yourself online -you can even elect to receive both, or switch between the text version and the graphics-rich HTML edition.

For the best of both worlds, go to that Web page and change your e-mail newsletter subscription to ePilot. Then click on the "Personalize your ePilot" link, which will take you to another Web page. Select the very top box, "Flight training," under "Aviation interest areas"-and beginning the next Friday, you will receive the "Training Tips" and other created-just-for-students content from your AOPA ePilot Flight Training Edition included each week as part of your personalized AOPA ePilot.

Two newsletters worth of information in one convenient e-mail-what could be better? While you're there, add any other categories that match your aviation interests, and enjoy the additional information that will be delivered in your personalized ePilot.
