Panel earns high marks

Apr. 18, 2004 - Don Weloth of Pensacola, Florida, knows a little about the Piper Twin Comanche - he's been flying them more than 30 years. "It's one of the most economical GA twins in existence," said Weloth, who earned his multiengine rating in a Twin Comanche in 1971. He gave the Win-A-Twin Sweepstakes airplane high marks, especially for its panel design. "I like the panel because it's spacious. They've gotten rid of a lot of nonessential stuff. Many Twin Comanche panels are jumbled."
