The Win-A-Twin Comanche sports a fancy new interior and entertainment for rear seat passengers.

AOPA's 2004 sweepstakes airplane, a totally refurbished 1965 Piper Twin Comanche, is set to fly to EAA's AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This year the show runs from July 27 through August 2, and our/your "Win-A-Twin" will be on display in front of AOPA's big yellow tent. The latest progress update reports on some of the final touches being applied to the airplane. These include the Twin Comanche's new Airtex interior and some new additions to the already-packed instrument panel. With some 25 more hours on the Win-A-Twin, project coordinator Tom Horne also comments on the airplane's increasingly plush demeanor and increasingly capable avionics. After AirVenture, the Win-A-Twin is scheduled to go on display at the International Comanche Society's annual convention in Kansas City downtown airport in September.
