AOPA's Commander Countdown is on the move, and you can follow its path live, courtesy of Flight Explorer, as it flies from Howard Aviation in La Verne, California, and heads east to Master Aircraft Painters in Wickenburg, Arizona.
Howard Aviation had originally hoped to complete the avionics and panel upgrade by March 1, but in all fairness, the original to-do list has grown considerably since the first meeting between AOPA Pilot representatives and Robin Howard last October.
And this will be the last flight of N1169J. When it emerges from the paint shop, it will also have a new N number - N112WN. See the latest restoration updates - including the paint scheme you helped pick - on AOPA's 2005 Commander Countdown Sweepstakes aircraft!
