Three airports to host pilots flying in to AOPA ExpoPilots flying in to AOPA Expo have three great airports with upgraded facilities to choose from. Vandenberg, Tampa International, and Peter O. Knight airports are all serving as hosts as AOPA makes its Tampa, Florida, debut. Make sure you read the arrival procedures before you fly. Once at Expo, you can see new aircraft packed with the latest avionics and be eligible to win products that can help your flying. By attending one of the "10 Strategies For Controlling Aircraft Insurance Costs" seminars, you can enter to win a handheld radio from Sporty's. And visit the AOPA Member Products aisle to enter drawings to win a $500 fuel card or a Garmin 96 GPS receiver from MBNA. Save money by registering for Expo by October 17. The event takes place November 3 through 5. |
There are only a few weeks remaining before this year's AOPA Expo in Tampa, Florida, and it's time to start thinking about all you want to do and see. With more than 500 exhibit booths, more than 80 aircraft in the aircraft display, some 70 hours of educational and entertaining seminars, and more than 50 product demonstrations, you're bound to have trouble fitting it all in.
Add in not-to-be-missed events like Thursday morning's free general session featuring Transportation Secretary Norman Y. Mineta; Thursday's opening luncheon featuring the pilot humor of Rod Machado; and Friday's general session covering exciting developments in GA from light sport aircraft to very light jets, and you'll wish Expo lasted more than three days just so you can take it all in.
And since Expo is all about having a great time in the company of your fellow GA enthusiasts, don't forget to plan time for socializing at great events like the welcome reception, Friday night pirate-themed party, and the closing banquet featuring dancing to the big-band sounds of The Terry Myers Orchestra.
Whether you're a veteran Expo-goer or a first timer, you may need some help planning your visit. The AOPA Expo home page can help you get started. Click on the "Attendees" tab to register, create a personalized schedule, arrange hotels, and more.
Register today to receive early bird discounts, then join us in Tampa November 3 through 5 to celebrate GA.
