It's turbo time for the AOPA Sweepstakes Commander Countdown airplane. In a hangar on the high plains of western Wyoming, the airplane is being fitted with its turbonormalizing system by RCM Normalizing. When the airplane reemerges, it will think it's at sea level. You can read all about it on our restoration update page.

You can see and hear all about it in this special video from project director Steven Ells (Windows Media 9 and broadband connection recommended). We recorded Steve as he explained what we've done to the Commander to admiring members at the Sun 'n Fun fly-in. And you can see this beautiful bird up close and personal next month outside the big yellow AOPA tent at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
