AOPA lobbies for airport protection bill in New Mexico

AOPA is working for the passage of a real estate disclosure-airport protection bill in New Mexico that would require real estate sellers to tell prospective homebuyers if the property is located within three statute miles of an airport. The bill has cleared its initial hurdle by passing the Senate Corporations and Transportation Committee and is awaiting action in the Senate Judiciary Committee. AOPA Southwest Regional Representative Shelly Lesikar has been working with local organizations, including the New Mexico Airport Managers Association and the New Mexico Municipal League, to support SB 464, sponsored by Sen. Pete Campos.
