Paint is flying. Leather is flying. Everything is flying right now except the AOPA Commander Countdown airplane. Technicians are in high gear at Master Aircraft Painters getting the airplane ready in time to show it off at the Sun 'n Fun Fly-In in Lakeland, Florida, next month. And in your flight planning for Sun 'n Fun, make sure you attend AOPA Day, Friday, April 15. It kicks off the night before at 7:45 during a Pilot Town Meeting with AOPA President Phil Boyer at the Florida Air Museum Pavilion at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport. AOPA will be giving away two Garmin 296 handheld GPSs and 10 watches from Sporty's Pilot Shop.

AOPA members, plus a spouse and one other guest, can receive $5 off their entrance fee on AOPA Day. However, the AOPA member discount cannot be combined with any other discounts.

You'll also have numerous opportunities that day to speak with AOPA staff members, including Boyer, during informal Q-and-A sessions in a pavilion area next to the tent.
