Official rules for Project Pilot drawings at Fly-In 2005

(Note: There are separate drawings and rules for pilots and nonpilots.)

For pilot drawing

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
  2. Open to all attendees who provide the name and contact information for a nonpilot who attends one of three seminars "How to Start Learning to Fly" scheduled to begin on or about 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. at the 2005 AOPA Fly-In on June 4, 2005. Entrants must be age 16 years or greater, a legal resident of the 50 United States, and hold an airman certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA"). Not open to employees of AOPA, its affiliated or related organizations, their officers, directors, and employees (collectively "AOPA"), or members of their immediate families. You need not be present at the time of the drawing to win.
  3. The prize for one winner drawn at random from entries is a Thirty 3G headset from Lightspeed Aviation with a fair market value of $599. The prize for one winner drawn at random from entries is a PA1761T headset from Pilot USA with a fair market value of $305. Entrants must completely fill out a supplied official entry form. Incomplete, unofficial, or illegible forms - where the information may not be reasonably determined - are void and will be discarded. Winner will be determined by random drawing at approximately 4 p.m. June 4, 2005, from all valid entry forms submitted. Odds of winning determined by number of participants.
  4. Winners agree that their names and likenesses may be used by AOPA for promotional purposes at its sole discretion. Winner is responsible for any taxes that may be payable as a result of their winning. Void where prohibited. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws.
  5. Participants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of AOPA and its employees, whose decisions regarding the sweepstakes shall be final. By accepting any prize, all winners agree that the prizes are awarded without any warranties, expressed or implied, and AOPA disclaims all such warranties. Winner further agrees to hold harmless AOPA from any and all injuries or damages arising out of the use of the prizes.

For nonpilot drawing

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
  2. Open to all attendees at one of three seminars "How to Start Learning to Fly" scheduled to begin on or about 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. at the 2005 AOPA Fly-In on June 4, 2005. Entrants must be age 16 years or greater, a legal resident of the 50 United States, and not hold an airman certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA"). Not open to employees of AOPA, its affiliated or related organizations, their officers, directors, and employees (collectively "AOPA"), or members of their immediate families. You need not be present at the time of the drawing to win.
  3. Ten (10) winners drawn at random from entries will receive a free Introductory First Flight with a fair market value of $49. One (1) winner drawn at random from entries will win a Recreational Pilot DVD course provided by Sporty's with a fair market value of $99. Entrants must completely fill out a supplied official entry form. Incomplete, unofficial, or illegible forms - where the information may not be reasonably determined - are void and will be discarded. Winner will be determined by random drawing at approximately 4 p.m. June 4, 2005, from all valid entry forms submitted. Odds of winning determined by number of participants.
