Should GA aircraft be allowed to fly over cities?

Should GA aircraft be allowed to fly over cities?
Respond to CNN poll

Of course they should. It's a silly question if you're a pilot. We know that we're trained from the beginning to always be on the lookout for where we can safely put the aircraft down in an emergency.

We know that engine failure is extraordinarily rare, structural failure even rarer. That's why you hardly ever hear of an aircraft hitting a building, despite the thousands of flights every day over cities. In the last five years, there have been only two accidents in the continental United States where an aircraft has killed someone in a building.

Nevertheless, CNN thinks it's a question worth asking the general public. So go tell them what you know. The poll is on CNN's home page on the right side, near the bottom.
