International flying resources reorganized to ease your trip planning

Pilot Information Center: International Flying and Alaska

Looking for a spring or summer getaway? Flying family or friends to Alaska, Canada, Mexico, or the Bahamas for a week of relaxation and adventure could be the perfect vacation. And now, getting there can be much easier.

AOPA recently reorganized its international travel information into more than 100 new pages of easy-to-use resources to make it simple for you to find exactly what you need for your trip across the border.

Let's say you are flying to the Bahamas. Simply click on "Bahamas/Caribbean" in the menu on the right side of the page. You'll find everything you need to know for the trip from popular attractions to Customs information, to required documents, to charts, to information on immunizations and medications.

In addition to easy-to-use Web pages detailing specific destinations, you also can select information on specific topics, like U.S. Customs, passports and visas, waivers, notams, and more.

AOPA also provides access to a handy currency converter plus conversion tables on the metric system, temperature, and barometric pressure.

With all the tools you need to plan a successful international flight now located and arranged to walk you through the process step by step, that long-awaited getaway will be easily within reach.

Whether it's a fishing trip to Canada or Alaska or to soak up the sun in Mexico or the Bahamas, what are you waiting for? Happy flying!
