Air Journey, a Florida-based company that specializes in hosting and planning unique owner-flown unique flying adventures to many destinations, is expanding its trip options. The company announced that last year's 24-country, 70-day, around-the-world trip went so well that a second group has been added to this year's flight. There are restrictions for the round-the-world trip because of the long legs involved - all airplanes must burn Jet A, must have a cruise speed of 250 knots, must have 1,000-mile range, and must have a working deicing system. Each group is limited to 12 airplanes. An advance registration fee of $12,000 secures a position with the full cost of $54,950 per person. Fuel costs are not included.
If that's not in the cards this year, fear not. Air Journey also provides services for fully escorted journeys, group and association trips, and "concierge journeys," for which Air Journey provides flight planning, accommodations, and excursion and airport planning for pilot-chosen destinations. The company's services extend to escorted journeys to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Central America, Alaska, the Canadian Maritimes, and many other destinations.
