Some 40 aircraft are slated for the static display at the tenth annual Fly-In to AOPA headquarters June 3. Of special interest will be two aircraft featured in the latest edition of AOPA Pilot magazine—the Extra 400 and the Millennium Mooney.
AOPA's Fly-In will be the first public display of the Extra 400. The 235-knot pressurized single-engine aircraft was designed by Walter Extra, famed designer of the Extra series of aerobatic aircraft.
Also on display will be the "Millennium Mooney," the grand prize in AOPA's annual sweepstakes. The Millennium Mooney will be fresh out of the paint shop with an attractive new paint scheme. Pilots will also be able to view the advanced avionics panel, based around innovative UPS Aviation offerings.
Other aircraft scheduled for display include the Cirrus SR20; new aircraft from Cessna, Commander, and Socata; and the Sky Arrow, featured in the March issue of AOPA Pilot.
The Fly-In is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Frederick (Maryland) Municipal Airport (FDK).
Fly-In procedures, driving directions, and additional information are available on AOPA Online or by calling 888/462-3976.
