Thanks to picture-perfect weather, the tenth annual Fly-In to AOPA headquarters is off to a great start. By 10 a.m. this morning, more than 385 aircraft had already flown in, with a steady stream of traffic behind them. Pilots have come from as far away as Arizona. Among the 45 aircraft on static display are the new Commander 115, Micco SP20, Extra 400, two Cirrus SR20s, and new aircraft from Cessna, Raytheon, Socata, and Piper. More than 100 exhibitors are displaying their wares in the giant exhibitor tent. More than 20 hours of aviation safety seminars are available.
The AOPA Fly-In will continue until 5 p.m. this afternoon.
