AOPA lobbies for GA at GOP convention

AOPA Legislative Affairs is in Philadelphia at the Republican National Convention this week to make the case for general aviation with GOP leaders and legislators. Bill Deere, AOPA vice president and executive director of legislative affairs, and John Williams, director of legislative communications, discussed a wide range of issues from FAA management reform to the prevention of new user fees with the legislators and delegates who wrote the party's platform. AOPA will also be at the Democratic National Convention later this month in Los Angeles.
