The 886 airline pilots hired in December 2007 represents a drop of about 100 from the previous month. However, Atlanta-based AIR, Inc. reports that through year's end, 13,157 pilot jobs were created during 2007--the highest annual total since 2000, which saw some 19,027 new pilot jobs.
