AOPA opposes curfew at Bob Hope Airport

AOPA is opposing proposed restrictions on nighttime operations at Bob Hope Airport. The curfew, proposed by the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, would eliminate takeoffs and landings between 10 p.m. and 6:59 a.m., with few exceptions. “We have concerns about the impact the proposed curfew would have on surrounding airports,” said AOPA Senior Director of Airports Heidi Williams. “The airport authority is attempting to shift nighttime flights to an already congested neighboring general aviation airport, Van Nuys.” Read more on AOPA Online.
