FAA's notam database crashes

The FAA’s notam database has crashed, and there may be a delay in getting new notam information out to pilots.

The FAA informed AOPA that it is contacting flight service stations and manually disseminating the information instead of using the automated system. All notams, including flight restrictions, issued as of midnight May 22 still apply.

The temporary flight restriction section of the FAA’s Web site is currently not being updated. Pilots should query FSS briefers about new flight restrictions and local notams.
