Thinking about selling your aircraft in order to buy another one? AOPA has numerous online resources to help you with both transactions. Start with AOPA’s Vref, a free resource for calculating ballpark market price that can be customized for each airplane. Then review a prepurchase inspection checklist that includes items a savvy buyer will check. Read up on tips to help you show your aircraft in its best light, and on having the paperwork organized. And when the day of the sale arrives, you’ll find details on what to expect, including a list of the required paperwork, payment options, and information on what you should keep for your records. Visit the Web site or call 800-USA-AOPA (872-2672).
Renewing your membership online is safe, secure, and convenient. Our new two-step process makes it easier than ever to renew your AOPA membership when it is convenient for you. Plus, you will receive an automatic confirmation that your membership has been renewed. Renewing online eliminates the cost of sending renewal notices and allows AOPA to put the savings toward fighting user fees, protecting airports, and providing valuable resources and services for pilots.
To renew online, visit the Web site. For more information, e-mail us at [email protected] or call 800-USA-AOPA (872-2672).
AOPA will hold its 2008 Expo, in San Jose, California, at the McEnery Convention Center and the Norman Y. Mineta International Airport. “Each year Expo gets better and better,” said AOPA President Phil Boyer. “And, since this will be my last Expo as AOPA’s leader, I’m really looking forward to the special events and meeting with members one last time as president.” The extensive convention center floor hall will showcase hundreds of aircraft manufacturers, avionics, flight gear, and pilot services. Once inside the exhibit hall, attendees will have the opportunity to use free Internet service, courtesy of the Diamond Sponsor DTC Duat. A shuttle service, provided by Platinum Sponsor Cessna, will transport attendees between the convention center and Norman Y. Mineta International Airport, where more than 60 new aircraft will be on display. AOPA’s 2008 Get Your Glass Sweepstakes grand prize, a retrofitted 1976 Piper Archer II, will headline the aircraft display. More than 60 hours of seminars will run throughout the three-day show. Attendees will have a variety of seminar topics to choose from, ranging from the latest general aviation technology, aircraft ownership, medical certification, interior renovations, to fly-in destinations and instrument flying.
