Peek inside the Cessna CJ4

Cessna flew its Cessna CJ4 to Orlando, Fla., for the NBAA convention to show off the production interior for the largest of its single-pilot capable jets.

The CJ4 prototype flew for the first time in May, and Cessna expects FAA certification in the first half of 2009, with customer deliveries beginning in 2010.

The CJ4 seats up to eight passengers and has a maximum cruise speed of 434 KTAS, and a maximum payload of 2,100 pounds, a 300-pound increase over the CJ3.

Roger Whyte, Cessna's senior vice president for sales and marketing, said the CJ4 flight test program is proceeding according to plan.
