TBM 850 Web site goes interactive

Want to see what your customized paint job would look like on a TBM 850?

Daher-Socata has added new features to its Web site on the TBM 850. One, called the “three-dimensional color configurator,” lets you try on three different paint schemes: the “Classic 850,” the “Deluxe,” and the “High Flyer.” The configurator helps users pick from among 51 factory colors and can print out specs for a completion center. Another new feature is a rangefinder, which lets you see the range potential of the TBM 850.

“For potential owners, the Web site provides an invaluable source of information," said Nicolas Chabbert, senior vice president of the Daher-Socata Airplane Division. Since its inception in 2007, the Web site has drawn more than 230,000 visitors. “It’s where most people have their first contact with the TBM 850 very fast turboprop experience,” Chabbert said.

More than 200 of the 320-knot TBM 850s have been sold since the airplane, a follow-on design to the TBM 700, was launched in 2005.
