Sporty’s picks SkyCatcher for 2010 sweeps

Sporty's 2010 Sweepstakes SkycatcherSporty’s Pilot Shop has chosen to give away a Cessna 162 SkyCatcher for its 2010 sweepstakes. The SkyCatcher is a two-seat trainer and personal airplane in the light sport aircraft (LSA) category, powered by a 100-horsepower Teledyne Continental O-200D engine and a composite propeller. The 162 can cruise as fast as 118 knots, and as far as 470 nm. The instrument panel features a Garmin G300 avionics package, and instead of conventional control yokes, the SkyCatcher has control sticks.

“We chose the SkyCatcher for our next Sweepstakes because it is the ultimate personal airplane,” said Sporty’s President Michael Wolf. “Plus, its glass panel avionics make the airplane state of the art.”

To be eligible to win the Sporty’s SkyCatcher you must place an order with Sporty’s before May 10, 2010. Sporty’s can be reached at 800/SPORTYS (800/776-7897) or see the Web site.
