Xerion Avionix said this week it has received additional supplemental type certificate (STC) approvals for the AuRACLE electronic engine management system. All four- and six-cylinder Mooney, Grumman, Rockwell Commander, Socata, and Extra Aircraft are now eligible to install the AuRACLE.
Xerion received its initial round of STC approvals in certain Piper, Beechcraft, and Cessna models. With the new additions, the total list of approved models is 301, or 95 percent of single-engine aircraft worldwide, according to the company.
The AuRACLE system is approved as a primary replacement for all of the airplane’s traditional engine gauges, with the addition of fuel flow information, percent horsepower, carburetor temperature, cylinder head temperature, exhaust gas temperature, and anything else that can be mapped on the engine. The system also features the company’s SmartLean Intuitive Leaning Process. All of the parameters are displayed on a five-inch color screen.
A twin-engine monitor is planned.
