Continental lowers prices again

Teledyne Continental Motors has reduced prices on its new and rebuilt engines, and if you think you’ve heard that before, you have. In January, Continental reduced prices 10 percent. It affects all engines in the company’s new and rebuilt product line.

This time the reduction is in dollars. Effective immediately, factory new engines are reduced by $1,500 while factory rebuilt engines are reduced by $1,200. Continental President Rhett Ross said the price reductions were possible after cost cutting at the factory. The savings are passed on to customers.

“Today we pass those savings on to our customers, ensuring that at TBO [time between overhaul], TCM [Teledyne Continental Motors] has the best product at the best quality to deliver the best value to the aircraft owner,” Ross said.
