Skip Barber’s driver training courses normally run $3,999, but during AOPA Aviation Summit, the price is being slashed by 30 percent—to $2,799.
Customers can use any of Skip Barber Racing School’s 22 racing tracks around the United States. The cars are open-wheel Formula cars using four-cylinder, 135-hp Mazda 2-liter, Type 3 engines. Acceleration? Zero to 60 in five seconds.
Instructor Richard Fernandes is manning the Skip Barber display—complete with race car—at booth 739.
