Just two more weeks 'til AOPA Day at Sun 'n Fun
Apr. 2, 2004 - AOPA's very own day at Sun 'n Fun is barely two weeks away on Friday, April 16. But the first AOPA Day event actually happens the night before, when AOPA President Phil Boyer hosts a Pilot Town Meeting at the Florida Air Museum Pavilion adjacent to Lakeland Linder Field, home of Sun 'n Fun.
Then when the gates open at 7 a.m. on Friday the 16th, AOPA members will get $5 off the daily admission price to Sun 'n Fun and can take part in hourly prize drawings at the big yellow AOPA tent. AOPA staffers will be on hand to show the many benefits of AOPA membership and to help visitors join or renew membership in AOPA. Doing so will mean automatic entry for the AOPA Win-A-Twin Sweepstakes grand prize, a better-than-new 1965 Piper Twin Comanche, which will be parked right outside the tent.
