Mentor keeps student pilot from giving up

Project Pilot Student Sandra Fox said she felt like she was "on overload" after completing a three-day ground school course in preparation for her written test. When she felt panicked while studying, she called her Mentor Raymond Feliciano, who also happens to be AOPA's supervisor of pilot information services. She met him at the Cleveland Air Show last year. "He encouraged me to get a good night sleep, do a quick review in the morning, and take the test the next day," said Fox, who scored a 93 percent on the exam. "If it wasn't for having a Mentor I would have given up several times. He has been able to encourage me and keep me going when I thought I couldn't go on," said Fox.
