Custom design kit available for Cirrus

Scheme Designers and LoPresti Aviation have developed a range of decal designs to replace older-style or worn decals on Cirrus Design aircraft.

As the fleet ages, the factory decal designs reach the end of their service life before the base paint, resulting in a worn or shabby look for a relatively new aircraft. It is not uncommon to see a Cirrus with cracked, faded, worn, or eroded decals. Replacement kits from Cirrus Design are expensive and date the aircraft, a Scheme Designers official said.

Scheme Designers has created 12 decal designs specifically for Cirrus Aircraft. Each design is provided in five standard color combinations, providing 60 options. “Naturally, there are some owners that are going to want non-standard color combinations,” said Craig Barnett, CEO of Scheme Designers, “and that is why we offer an additional option for each design allowing clients to work with us to create custom color combinations against their selected design. This gives clients limitless color choices.”

The designs are available to view at EAA AirVenture, and kits can be purchased at the Scheme Designers booth (3056) in the northwest corner of Hangar C.
