Aaron Tippin and ‘Fifi’ join forces

Platinum-selling country artist Aaron Tippin will sign at stops planned for a nationwide tour of the Boeing B-29 Super fortress Fifi, and he will be on board as well. In fact, when he is checked out in the aircraft, he will be he copilot for all the stops on the tour. It’s called the Commemorative Air Force “Red, White, and Loud Tour.”

Organizers indicated the schedule and ticket information will soon be available on the CAF website.

Tippin and Fifi will first touch down in Denver at the Colorado Sport International Air Show on Aug. 28 at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport. Tippin will sing songs such as “Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly,”and “You’ve Got To Stand for Something” with Fifi as the backdrop. Additionally, as part of the tour event, the public can purchase tickets for guided tours and a ride in the aircraft.

Tippin is an experienced pilot who soloed on his sixteenth birthday, and was a commercial, multiengine-rated instrument pilot by age 18. He can fly a helicopter, too, and is an airframe and powerplant technician. He owns a Boeing Stearman, a Piper Cub, and a Helio Courier.

He has 13 CDs and 30 charted singles to his name, and performs 200 concert dates each year.
