3JC: Freeman Field
Junction City, Kansas

Take dad to America’s heartland to enjoy the National Biplane Fly-In, a celebration of antique, vintage, and modern biplanes. This event carries on the Great Biplane Expo tradition on the grass and asphalt runways of Freeman Field. Join in the tradition June 3 through 6.


BFI: Boeing Field
Seattle, Washington

If your dad is into helicopters, this is the place to be June 19. The American Heroes Airshow is the country’s only admission-free, helicopter-only aviation event. Helicopters from law enforcement, emergency medical services, the military, and more are on display at the Museum of Flight.


LPR: Loraine County Regional Airport
Elyria/Avon, Ohio

What better way to celebrate your dad but by honoring his favorite tool—duct tape. Yes, there’s a festival for duct tape on Father’s Day weekend June 18 through 20. The small town of Avon, Ohio, in Loraine County is the Duct Tape Capital and each year celebrates by showcasing all things made of and with duct tape. LPR serves the northeast Ohio region.


National Air and Space Museum
Dulles, Virginia

Join AOPA and the National Air and Space Museum June 19 for Become A Pilot Day. On display will be a great variety of aircraft including AOPA’s 2010 sweepstakes aircraft, the Fun-to-Fly Remos GX. Take a museum tour, fly a flight simulator, and find out how you can become a pilot for a day!

Antique cars, hot rods, airplanes, and food, oh, my. The Western North Carolina Museum Air Fair and Fly-In offers everything you and your dad need to celebrate his favorite things. Organizers say to come and enjoy this “old-timey airport” June 5 and 6.


Fantasy of Flight
Polk City, Florida

It’s free admission for dads at Florida’s most exciting aviation museum, the Fantasy of Flight near Lakeland, Florida. The free admission is available to dads with an accompanying paying guest June 17 through 20.
