Eclipse gets IS&S panel enhancements

Eclipse Aerospace’s EA500 very light jet has been approved for installation of electronic charts and XM WX Satellite Weather. Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) of Exton, Pa., announced that it has earned FAA supplemental-type-certificate (STC) approval to install its Class 3 electronic chart and datalink weather upgrade to the EA500’s Avio NG integrated cockpit system.

The IS&S enhancement provides geo-referenced airplane position information superimposed on Jeppesen en route charts and airport diagrams, as well as Jeppesen approach, arrival, and departure charts.

IS&S also offers the Class 3 electronic charts and satellite weather functions in the Cessna Citation line, Dassault Falcon Jets’ Falcon 2000, Pilatus’ PC-12, and all Vantage Cockpit/IP systems. A paperless cockpit can be achieved with the addition of a second chart server, says IS&S.
