Training news delivered to your desktop

A timely flight training topic, a sprinkling of the latest aviation news with a dash of AOPA advocacy—that’s AOPA ePilot Flight Training Edition, the free weekly electronic newsletter created especially for student pilots.

When you subscribe to ePilot Flight Training Edition, each Friday morning you’ll receive a newsletter that includes a feature article about a common flight training subject, question, or problem. Wondering about icing and frost? Uncertain as to whether you need to preheat in temperatures below 40 degrees? Not sure how to phrase a special request to an air traffic controller? Then you’ll appreciate the tightly focused “Training Tips” that lead off each issue.

Following each Training Tip are timely news items pertaining to the flight training community; a section devoted to AOPA’s advocacy efforts on your behalf; and “Training Products”—short announcements of the latest tools and gadgets on the market. You’ll also find a “Final Exam” question and answer provided by AOPA’s Pilot Information Center, a calendar of upcoming regional aviation events, and a weekend weather forecast specific to your area of the country. (View the archive at AOPA Online.

As an AOPA Flight Training member, you receive the newsletter at no cost. If you do not currently get it, simply sign up at AOPA Online. Or, call us at 800-USA-AOPA weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern time.
