Biofuels approved for Hawker Beechcraft turbinesBiofuels approved for Hawker Beechcraft turbines

All turbine-powered aircraft built by Hawker Beechcraft are approved for use of biofuels that meet standards of ASTM International (formerly the American Society for Testing and Materials). Hawker Beechcraft engineers have completed testing to ensure its fleet can use the fuels.

The effort was part of the company’s work as a member of the Aviation Green Alliance established by the Lindbergh Foundation. Hawker Beechcraft is a founding member of the alliance. This week, Jeppesen also became a founding member of the alliance. The alliance was formed in April 2011.

The Lindbergh Foundation is a public nonprofit organization based in Anoka, Minn., with focuses on technology breakthroughs to address significant environmental issues facing the aviation industry.
