AOPA and the American Bonanza Society (ABS) have partnered to hold each group’s annual convention together with the common goal to create more value for attendees by offering relevant content. The American Bonanza Society annual convention will be held in conjunction with the AOPA Aviation Summit in Palm Springs, Calif., Oct. 11 through 13.
"I'm excited ABS has partnered with the AOPA Aviation Summit to deliver enhanced value to our attendees. Co-locating the events brings the convenience of being able to attend two conventions at once allowing pilots to get even more content while saving time," said AOPA President Craig Fuller. “We think this will set a standard for other groups looking to provide specific content to their members while reaping the benefits of attending our Summit, which is general aviation’s premier trade show and convention.”
“ABS continues to expand the Beech family, and we look forward to working in concert with AOPA to promote the relevance of type clubs to future pilots and aircraft owners,” said American Bonanza Society President Keith Kohout.
The American Bonanza Society will be hosting special events for its members throughout the convention. From a special welcome reception to the Falcon DayBreakers and ABS Beech seminar track, members will still enjoy the content they have come to expect from the American Bonanza Society. Members will also have dedicated hotels near the convention center to ensure easiest access and convenience to all the events during the convention.
AOPA’s Aviation Summit will offer an exhibit hall, the popular Parade of Planes from the airport to the Palm Springs Convention Center, and an aircraft static display. The event also will include educational content for all pilots, along with fun evening events. Registration for both conventions opens April 20. ABS members can register at the society website. AOPA members can register on AOPA Online.
