We’re just a few weeks away from AOPA Aviation Summit 2013, and the energy level is high here at AOPA.
This is my first Summit as AOPA president, and my first chance to talk to so many members face-to-face. During the show, I will be sharing some of my own aviation stories and goals for the future. And I want to hear from you, especially when it comes to your priorities for your flying and your association.
So I hope you’ll join me Oct. 10 through 12 in Fort Worth, Texas, for three days of all things aviation.
We’ll have hundreds of hours of educational opportunities, including new seminars on topics like in-flight video and a workshop on upgrading your panel. We’ll also have some 400 exhibitors and dozens of aircraft on display.
And you won’t want to miss our great speakers, including baseball legend Ken Griffey Jr., FAA leaders, and Disney executives involved in making the hit movie Planes.
On Saturday morning, Oct. 12, I’ll host an old-fashioned pancake breakfast and pilot town hall, where you’ll have the chance to ask questions of me and our staff of experts.
Summit is a wonderful learning opportunity, of course. And it’s the very best place to see, test, and buy all the latest aviation products from headsets to aircraft. But just as important, Summit is a whole lot of fun.
Adding to the adventure are some events that are only possible in Texas, including a free Thursday night concert with country music star Aaron Tippin, a night at the rodeo, and great barbecue.
