Flying Eyes Sunglasses looks to crowd-funding for new product

Made for use with noise-canceling headsets

Flying Eyes Sunglasses, which are made for pilots to use with noise-cancelling headsets, is launching a new line of sunglasses it says will be even more comfortable to wear under headsets and helmets.

The company, based in Austin, Texas, also has started a crowd-funding campaign it says will bring the new sunglasses to market sooner.

Flying Eyes CEO Dean Siracusa, a pilot and aircraft owner, said he will go ahead with the new product regardless of how the crowd-sourcing effort turns out.

“We’re going to have the new sunglasses available to sell around mid-August,” he said.
