Learning in a taildragger
On December 7, 2014, I had my first solo flight out of Waupaca Airport, Waupaca, Wisconsin. It was an amazing experience, and I can’t wait for all of my future flying. Like most pilots, this has been a lifelong dream, so it is an experience I will never forget. I’ve learned a lot since beginning in June 2014, both from my CFI and from many great articles in the AOPA Flight Training publication.

‘Nobody but me, myself, and I’
Solo! Today I successfully took off and landed three times in a row with no one else in the cabin but me, myself, and I. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me up to this point. A big thank you to my instructors Joe Pacifico and Jeremy Morris. Without their training none of this would have been possible.
