I have dreamed of this day since I was 12 years old when my grandpa (also a pilot) took me for my first general aviation flight—which I remember like it was yesterday. I am excited to continue learning, log more hours, and experience new things. Thanks to my flight instructor, Stephen, and my grandpa for sharing their passion of flying with me!

Age isn’t a barrier
I earned the private pilot certificate four years ago, added a tailwheel endorsement in 2012, and the instrument rating in October 2014 at age 68. Age isn’t a barrier unless you think it is! Yes, it was hard, but so worth it in every way! I enjoy flying all over the country with my husband in our Husky. We both read Flight Training each month. No matter whether you’re a new pilot or a seasoned one, you should think like a student…always be learning!
